Want to exhibit? You’ve come to the right place!

Brickfair is open to anyone that would like to put their LEGO creations on display for the public.  Engagement with people you’ve never met taking time to browse through your work is extremely fulfilling.

Follow two paths by selecting one of the two buttons below to register.  If you are part of a LUG (LEGO User Group), proceed to the LUG registration. If you are not or you prefer to exhibit independently, select the other.

Why is this important?  Our main focus is the enjoyment of the public and the recognition for the builders.  LUGs normally have collaborative exhibits, and if you’re registering as part of a LUG there is a fairly good chance that all exhibitors from a specific LUG will be grouped together. If not, what you’d like to exhibit becomes a little more important for planning the layout and ensuring a great experience for all.

All right? Are you ready?!  Make your selection below, and register now as limited space is available.

Once you have registered, don’t expect unicorns to appear, minifigures to sing or burgers to fall from the sky 🙂 We will give enough time for all registrations to be completed and then report back once we are ready.

Competitions at Brickfair 2026

Showcase your builds by entering one (or more) of the nine categories for our exhibitors. All competitions focus on originality so if your display includes set(s) please make sure to enter the Best presentation of a set(s) as the others have more focus on MOCs (My own creations).

You can enter in multiple categories, but only the first build per category will be accepted.

Best in show

This our showcase category and is awarded to the overall best builds of the weekend. Let your imagination run wild!

Rookie of the year

If this is your first time exhibiting at Brickfair, this category is for you. Come on noobs, let’s see what you can do.

Best Technic or mechanical model

Whether it’s a GBC module or construction equipment, if your build moves, this is the category for you to enter.

Best Licensed Minifigure(s) display

Showcase your favourite licensed Minifigure(s) in a display that highlights them. Use the build around the Minifigures to tell as story.

Best Castle or Fantasy display

Give King Arthur and James Cameron a run for their money.

Best City or Town build

In a town, far far away, show the crowd how hard minifigures work

Best Space or SciFi display

Let see your futuristic builds. Whether it is existing or your own imagined universe, let see how you live long and prosper

Best kid's display

An open category for our younger exhibtors, open only to exhibitors 18 years and younger. Sorry boomer!

Best presentation of a set(s)

If building MOCs (My Own Creations) is not your thing, we’re giving a prize to the exhibitor which displayed a standard set (or collection of sets) in a unique and interesting way.

How does judging work?

Since Brickfair 2024, the judging process changes by calling on volunteers to help judge our nine competition categories. We aim to have at least three volunteers per category, who will carefully review and select their top three entries. Our esteemed final judges will then review the shortlisted entries and choose the winners.

Judges are given guidance on what to look for in the entrants with specific focus on originality, is this the first time the display is show cased, is it a MOC or does it include sets (for all the categories other than Best presentation of a set(s).

Join us on Sunday morning at 08:00 in front of the LEGO store for our prize-giving ceremony, where we’ll announce the winners and celebrate their incredible creations.

If you’re interested in volunteering as a judge, please reach out to us at hello@brickfair.co.za or ask on our WhatsApp group, which you can join by visiting brickfair.co.za/chat/. We appreciate your help in making Brickfair 2026 a success!
