IMPORTANT COMMUNICATION REGARDING BRICKFAIR 2021
Paving new ways comes with great rewards but not without it’s challenges. We’ve had a number of our guests and visitors struggle with the ticketing process, and for this reason NO TICKET WILL BE REQUIRED TO ENTER BRICKFAIR 2021 on Saturday 30 October 2021.
Brickfair has become an institution in South Africa, with visitors and exhibitors travelling from all the corners of the country to take part in this flagship annual event. Brickfair 2019 had a rocky start, but proved to be the most successful of all the Brickfair events to date.
In Brickfair 2020, the organisers were hoping for a smooth road, but global challenges almost meant no event at all. Since this year, Brickfair Pretoria has been an online event.
Willi and Joe are builders at the core, and have approached this iteration of Brickfair with the same gusto, curiosity and determination as they have done with every build they create. From their brick-heart perspectives, there are millions of configurations for standard LEGO bricks and equally there are a millions of configurations for a successful and fun Brickfair. This meant Brickfair 2021 took a completely new direction, transforming to a first-of-its-kind virtual LEGO event in South Africa.
Moving from a physical world to a virtual world means many changes to look forward to. What will not change are all the things we love… amazing new ideas, local and international speakers, build masterclasses, competitions and giveaways.
What about the LEGO displays?
Brickfair 2021 will not have any formal build exhibition or competitions.
However, we are planning ad-hoc build and quiz competitions on the day – watch this space for details.
